Bigger and Better

A few weeks ago I got offered a full time Critical Care Tech position in the Utah Valley Regional ER. It was crazy how it all came together really, and it was an offer I couldn't turn down. However, knowing that I would be full time at the hospital meant I couldn't keep seeing my home health patients.
For the past two years I have been doing home health care, and for the past year I have been with the company Health Watch. I learned alot and grew to love so many patients dearly, so it was a bittersweet feeling to know that I wouldn't be seeing them anymore.

I have been training for the past three weeks. This next week will be my last training week and then I am on my own! I have already learned so many new things and come home with crazy stories everyday.

I learned that I am not very good at CPR...as in CPR on real patients not the mannequins. It's a whole new experience. Some of the techs are really good and can go forever....then I get up there and i'm tired and sweating after like 30 seconds.

It has been a great experience so far and i've already seen so many crazy things. Alot of what I see doesn't bother me like I thought it would, and I guess that means I am in the right position. I am so excited to coninute on with this new career chapter of my life!

Baby Girl

It blows my mind that I have not previously blogged about this, but seeing as these events happend while I was missing from the blogging world it makes sense. Anywho... Awhile ago I posted This Blog post about how my family is being taken over by boys, and how I wish someone would give me a girl.

Dreams really do come true everybody.

Around Thanksgiving the Hansen family will finally have a little baby girl! Shayli and Kenyon came through and granted my wishes. I wish words could describe how happy I am, but they can't. I have an obsession with little babies and honestly the fact that this one is a girl makes it just that much better.

Everyone knows she is going to be one spoiled little shat....She already is.
I'm really considering turning her into my little minion.

I may have bought this oneise for her already....I was so excited for her to wear it that I tried it on Shayli's belly. Looks fabulous already right?

Kenyon also may have bought her this bib.

I'm positive this isn't the last of the cool aunt attire that I or they will be purchasing. After all I did call dibs on being the favorite. Duh.

I'm Back!

Life is crazy and to be honest blogging didn't appeal to me in the least bit during the summer. Now that fall has begun, and my life is a little bit more exciting....hopefully, I am going to try to start blogging again.

So here it goes...

Last weekend I moved in with three of my best friends, Steph, Kristen, and Shayli.
Honestly getting moved in was stressful and I hated every minute of it, but now that we are somewhat settled I am loving it.
I also love that I get to share a room with my bestie Steph. Put us together and we always have fun. Since elementary school we have done everything together, so it just wouldn't be natural if we didn't do the whole moving out thing together as well.

Here are a few pictures of our cute little apartment:

I love having a little place to call our home, and I love that I get to be with three of my favorite girls all the time.  I have already started to miss them when I haven't seen them all day.

Paying rent is something I could live without, and I miss my family, my queen sized bed, and my dog...yes my dog. We also didn't really have food until today when we went grocery shopping...which I could also live without.
Minus those few downfalls I am really excited to start this new exciting adventure in my life!

Workity Work

Worst blogger ever. I know I know.

Update:

I got hired at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center as a Psych Tech in the ER, and you can bet your bottom dollar I am thrilled as can be! I happy really to just be on at the hospital at all. I love the atmosphere, I love being a part of the patients and their healing, and I love forming relationships with people at some of their most vulnerable times. I guess you can basically say I was made to be in the medical field.

Anyway, for my job I get to go into the ER when the "psych" patients come in and sit with them one on one to make sure they don't hurt themselves or others, pull out their chords, etc. etc. So far its been pretty interesting and while i'm sure it's not the position I want to be in forever, I am quite enjoying it for now.

Boys, Boys, Boys

There are five kids in my family. One boy and four girls.
I'm sure that at times while growing up the estrogen levels may have been so high that they nearly killed my dad and brother...they somehow managed to survive.
I am convinced that my dad prayed so hard back in the day for boys, that now his prayers are finally being answered.
The family that was once ran by the ladies is now being taken over by boys.

We were lucky enough to have Sasha join the family when my brother married her, helping the girl population out a bit...still we are no match for the boys.

Two of my sisters are married giving me two more wonderful brothers.

And then there are these four......
Apparantly my siblings only know how to make boy babies.
At least they are good at it though right? They are some good looking kids and I love them to death.

As much as I love my boys....i'm crossing my fingers that someday someone will figure out how to make a girl.

Until then you can find me kissing these little hooligans faces off every chance I get.

It's love.

It's love...that's all there is to it.

I adore him too much.
Last night I stayed at Jason and Sasha's house to help with the baby. I seriously loved it. I fed him, changed him and snuggled him in between feedings allowing Sash to get some much needed sleep. I had so much fun hanging out with them, and after I left this morning Sash sent me this little gem.

I don't think he could be any more precious.

To all you married couples out there....please have all the babies you want and call auntie Cierra to babysit. That would be much appreciated.

Newest Addition

Thursday I had a 3 hour job interview at the hospital. SO long. On my way out I saw my sister-in-law Sasha who was 9 months pregnant and I asked her what the heck she was doing there! She told me that she had been bleeding and so the doctor wanted to deliver her baby that day (two weeks early). I was so crazy excited I can't even explain. The older I get the more I love babies...so I was really excited for this one.

I had to run home and see a patient and change out my interview clothes so I could come back to the hospital and camp out until the baby came. And that's exactly what I did. We went back to the hospital and hung out until it was baby time.

McCoy Marshall Hansen was born around 6:40.
Nephews-4 Nieces-0
He is seriously the sweetest and I already adore him.

My phone is full of pictures of this sweet little boy.
Welcome to the family McCoy!
